Powdercoat took longer than planned on my trailer, and they can’t ship it in time.
So I am going to LA tomorrow to pick it up. I am a little worried about driving back with a lightweight, unladen trailer, but I don’t have much choice.

Buy a new refrigerator while you’re there?

Solution: buy something cheap and motorized to weigh it down...

80lb bags on concrete are $6 from Lowe's. <20 gives you some piece of mind and a bunch of concrete.

Empty trailers definitely do like to bounce. I’d stop at a home depot and buy a couple bags of sand and straps to secure it. Even an extra 100 or 150 pounds should make a big difference.
Also that red looks fantastic!

eh..... take an axe
then youll only have to drive it unladen for a couple miles till the nearest unguarded tree
and hey free firewood
(im sure you needs lots of that in your climate)

Buy a cheap bag of pea gravel or two and strap it down on the trailer for the drive back.

Pea gravel would work too - I just like sand better as it’s cheaper and if a bag breaks it is less cleanup/risk of damage to other cars on the road.

You had your trailer pow der coated in red to match the frame on your new Ducati?
The problem isn’t the towing experience of the empty trailer , the problem is that you are becoming a living meme .

It’s a motor cycle trailer, right? Just buy another motorcycle to weigh it down for the trip home.

Ratchet straps and a few bags of sand.

You can buy sand or mulch or rocks.

No need to be worried. It will be bouncy and annoying, but not unsafe.

Maybe pick up a scissor lift? Win/Win?
